Material Propeeties

  • Very Good machinability.
  • Magnetizable steel.
  • Very good for operating in wet and corrosive environments.
  • Very good dimensional stability during heat treatment.
  • Not designed for highly polished and etched surfaces

Applications

This steel is commonly used for mould steel applications including holders or support plates subjected to wet working and/or storage conditions. The grade is also used for the manufacturing of corrosive materials like PVC.

  • Mold plates, frames and holders
  • Support plates.
  • Manufacturing of corrosive materials like PVC.
  • Dies and die blocks in the plastics industry,
  • Rubber Molds.
  • Machinery parts requiring corrosion resistance.

Heat Treatment

Recomended to use as prehardened.

Delivery Condition

Prehardened, 280-325 HB (29-33 HRC).
